Misbehavior Detection in Wi-Fi/LTE Coexistence over Unlicensed Bands

We address the problem of detecting misbehavior in coexistence between LTE and Wi-Fi systems operating 5 GHz U-NII unlicensed bands. define selfish strategies for that can yield an unfair share spectrum resources. Such are based on manipulating operational parameters LTE-LAA standard. Prior methods homogeneous settings not applicable a sharing scenario because devices one system cannot decode transmissions another. develop implicit sensing techniques accurately estimate under various topological scenarios {\em without decoding.} These apply correlation-based signal detection to infer required information. Our validated through experiments USRP testbed. further statistical inference framework determining deviations behavior from etiquette. By characterizing false alarm probabilities, we show our yields high accuracy at very low rate. Although focus system, they be generalized detect other scenarios.
